America's Competitive Comedy League
Win Cash Prizes, and a Bag 'o Chips
Every Friday Night at The Screenhouse
League of Laughs is a live comedy competition where performers compete in improv games, comedy challenges, audience contests, sketch battles, and creative showdowns.
Audience reactions determine who wins. Think bowling leagues, poker tournaments, and trivia nights — except the sport is comedy.
How It Works
Form your own squad or challenge the house team. Registration includes up to 4 improv training sessions with our pros before you compete.
Improv games. Comedy challenges. Audience interaction. Teams earn points. Performers earn bragging rights.
Cash prizes. Bragging rights. And a Bag 'o Chips™. Champions earn cash. Everybody earns a bag 'o chips.
The Concept
Most improv theaters sell "come watch improv." League of Laughs™ sells "come compete" — or "come watch people compete."
Competition creates storylines. Storylines create rivalries. Rivalries create repeat attendance. Champions create fans. That's the same engine that powers sports, trivia leagues, poker tournaments, esports, and reality television.
The Home Team
The Screenhouse Squad is the resident team and defending champions of League of Laughs™. Think Harlem Globetrotters — but for comedy.
The Vision
Weekly competition every Friday.
Quarterly tournaments.
Teams across St. Louis.
Companies vs. companies.
Students vs. students.
Annual League of Laughs™ Finals.
Upon creating your team and acceptance into the league, your registration and league fees count towards up to 4 improv training sessions with our pros — before you field a team in competition.
Winners. Losers. The American Way.™
